Did you know that Council Tax Arrears is one of the top enquiry areas for our debt Clients, yet Council Tax Reductions are very poorly advertised and consequently very rarely claimed!

So many people are unaware that they can claim a council tax reduction/discount.

You may be eligible for a discount if you:

  • live on your own
  • are on a low income
  • are a student
  • someone in your household has a disability

The above list is not exhaustive, so for more information please visit

To check whether you are eligible for a reduction and guidance on how to apply for a reduction, please visit  North Hertfordshire District
