What is a financial health check?

A financial health check is where we complete a full review of all our personal finances, i.e. income, saving, spending, budgeting, utility payments, insurances, investments, taxes, debts etc. If done regularly It should help us to stay in control of our money, give us peace of mind and help us achieve our financial goals.

The Times (Money Matters) wrote an interesting article last July 2023 Seven ways to give your finances a health check – Times Money Mentor (thetimes.co.uk), outlining how to complete your own financial health check.

Alternatively, several of the national banks and Which magazine have created their own online financial health checks, these checks are designed to highlight areas where you may be having issues, and provide generic financial support articles to assist you:
