Fundraise for our Hertfordshire charity
Setting up a fundraiser for Citizens Advice North Herts is a simple and powerful way to support local people when they need it most. Whether you’re taking part in a sponsored challenge, celebrating a birthday, remembering a loved one, or organising a community or workplace event, your fundraising helps us provide free, confidential and impartial advice across North Hertfordshire.
By fundraising through JustGiving, you can collect donations securely online, tell your story, and easily share your page with friends, family and colleagues.
Together, we can make sure no oneis left to struggle alone.
Why we need to raise funds
Our funds are unable to keep pace with the current increasing demand for our services. Every penny we are able to raise will help us to continue and expand our vital service. For example….
- £15 could buy a headset for a phone adviser to take a client call.
- £25 could fund a one hour advice appointment.
- £50 could fund publicity materials providing support on the cost of living crisis
- £100 could help fund a one hour appointment with an expert debt & benefit adviser.
- £150 could provide a dedicated training session on housing advice
- £250 could deliver a cost of living support workshop in the community

Why your support matters
Every day, people across North Hertfordshire – including Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock and Royston – turn to Citizens Advice North Herts at some of the most challenging moments of their lives. They may be worried about paying bills, struggling with debt, facing problems at work, dealing with housing insecurity or homelessness, or coping with relationship breakdowns.
Many of the people who come to us are living with a disability, long‑term health condition or mental health problem. The issues they face are often urgent, confusing and deeply distressing, leaving them unsure where to turn. Our local advice service provides calm, confidential and impartial support when people need it most.
When Cliff and his late wife Julie were facing an incredibly difficult time following Julie’s cancer diagnosis, Citizens Advice North Herts provided practical support, advice and understanding when they needed it most. After Julie’s death, Cliff chose to run the London Marathon in her memory, raising over £12,000 so that other people across North Hertfordshire can continue to access free, confidential advice during their hardest moments.
Support people like Cliff. Your donation today helps local people find a way forward.
