Letchworth Financial Health Project

Being financially capable gives people the power and confidence to make the most of their money and improve their lives. Managing money well – both day-to-day and through significant life events like starting a family or moving home, helps to alleviate stress and improve general wellbeing.

This project is being funded by the Letchworth Heritage Foundation

About the Project

Together with the Letchworth Heritage Foundation we identified a shared desire to make an enduring intervention to address the issues of inequality and poor living standards In Letchworth. This is a 3 year project which commenced in 2020 – its aims are:

  • to improve people’s standard of living and well-being in the town
  • to help residents increase their financial awareness & capability
  • to enable and empower people to deal with crises as they arise

Please watch this short video form more information about the project…

Reaching Residents

A really important strand of this project is building relationships with local community groups and companies, to ensure people are aware of what we can offer both in terms of individual advice and community support.

We have been really fortunate to have been invited to various meetings and events over the last 12 months, such as the Acorns family fun day and the Garden Academy Summer Fayre, please see our news pages for more details.

And we are really keen to attend a lot more – so please get in touch If you would like us to come along to your organisation or group meeting or any special event, call or text 07551 275413 or fill out the form at the bottom this page and leave your details.

Raising awareness

We post regularly on North Herts Citizens Advice Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. In addition, we have our own Facebook group page specifically for this project where members can ask financial health questions and share tips/ideas. Please join us at Letchworth Financial Health | Facebook

Hopefully, you have noticed our project and workshop posters around town, if you would like copies to display on your community notice board please call or text 07551 275413 or or fill out the form at the bottom this page and leave your details.
