Five Dinners Meal Planner
This is a UK-based recipe subscription service designed to make weekly family meals easier, more organised and less stressful. Instead of delivering meal kits, the service provides personalised weekly meal plans, easy-to-follow recipes and one combined shopping list, so members can choose where to buy their own ingredients.
The great news is that some local councils (including Herfordshire District Council) are working in partnership with 5 dinners which means membership is free until Spring 2027 😊
What they offer
- Personalised meal plans: Members share their eating habits and preferences, then receive a new meal plan each week tailored to their needs.
- A single weekly shopping list: Each plan comes with one organised shopping list, helping save time, reduce food waste and make grocery shopping simpler.
- Easy recipes: Recipes are designed to be straightforward and family-friendly, supporting busy households that want practical dinner ideas.
- Variety and flexibility: Plans can include options such as low-calorie, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, one-pot meals, meals under 30 minutes, family favourites, classic suppers and world foods.
- Chef-led content: Recipes are created by head chef Theo A. Michaels and guest chefs, including celebrity chef recipes.
How it works
- Choose preferences: Members set their dietary preferences, cooking habits and meal requirements.
- Receive a weekly plan: Five Dinners creates a personalised meal plan for the week.
- Shop from one list: Members use the automatically generated shopping list to buy ingredients from their preferred shop.
- Cook the meals: The recipes guide members through cooking simple, stress-free dinners at home.
Who it is useful for
Five Dinners is particularly useful for busy families, people who struggle to decide what to cook, households wanting to reduce food waste, and anyone looking for more variety without relying on takeaway meals or meal delivery kits. It aims to make dinner planning simpler while still giving members control over ingredients, shopping choices and cooking at home.
